Why We Exist

A Powerful Problem Demands a Faithful Response

Our culture continues to chip away at America's most basic religious liberties, despite the protections of the First Amendment. For the sake of our communities and the Church, we must engage — on God's terms.

Redefining Marriage & Gender

The systematic re-definition of marriage and the re-gendering of humans contrary to God's created order.

Learn More

Sanctity of Life

The cheapening and limiting of human life to pragmatic standards, denying the image of God in every person.

Learn More

Government Overreach

A dangerous trend where government seeks to replace both God and parental authority in American life.

Learn More

Secular Blasphemy Laws

The rise of policies and cultural norms that penalize biblical worldviews and Christian conviction as "hate speech."

Who We Are

Common People. Extraordinary Purpose.

The Champions Network is a vibrant community learning, growing, praying, and challenging one another to engage their local communities with a Two-Kingdom set of principles.

Common People

Congregants & Citizens Who Love the LORD

The Champions Network is built for everyday believers — not politicians or professional activists. Congregants, citizens, and people who love the LORD and the liberties that He alone can provide.

Our mission is to inspire and equip individuals dedicated to making a difference in their congregations, schools, and communities. We seek to put our temporal liberties to work for the greater, eternal liberties of the Gospel for all.

Congregants in local Lutheran and evangelical churches
Citizens who value the First Amendment and biblical freedom
Lay people seeking a 5-year path to principled engagement
Advocate speaking to community
Advocates, Not Activists

Speaking Truth in Love to Culture and Church

Champions are individuals committed to speaking into the culture and the church the Two-Kingdom principles that uphold religious liberty, sanctity of life, and educational freedom — echoing the voice of God that both preserves and saves.

The key distinction: advocates engage with measured, truth-filled conviction motivated by love — not reactionary combat or partisan politics.

Theologically precise — never conflating political victory with the Church's mission
Formative, not reactionary — focused on the long-term 5-year arc
Earning dialogue opportunities rather than rushing engagement
Champions connecting church and civic life

Building Bridges into Community & Government

The Foundation

Two-Kingdom Theology

God engages the world in two distinct ways. Understanding this is the foundation of everything we do.

Left-Hand Kingdom

The Kingdom of Power & Preserving

God works through secular government, reason, and law to curb evil, maintain civil peace, and preserve the temporal blessings He has given us.

Champion Public Servants — Christians as parents, citizens, law enforcement, preserving national foundations.
Power resides with citizens · Laws govern · Limited government · Inherent rights
Right-Hand Kingdom

The Kingdom of Grace & Saving

God works through the Church and the Gospel to save souls through faith in Christ — the ultimate purpose for defending liberty in the first place.

Champion Witnesses — Christians spreading the message of salvation and the freedom found in Christ.
Church > Culture > Politics · The Gospel saves where the Law preserves

Two Kingdoms, yet one mission — to bless the world now and forever.

The Champions Journey

A Five-Year Developmental Pathway

To ensure advocacy is grounded in maturity rather than reactionary activism, the LCRL utilizes a tiered journeyman system. The calling continues until Jesus returns.

The Toolchest

Champions Academy

Each group in our network is called a Champions Chapter. We provide educational resources, digital delivery systems, discussion guides, and regular communication support — so that many hands make for light work.

Academy curriculum resources — Bible, scrolls, and shield on a scholar's desk
Resources are batched into Session Themes — 10 sessions per year. Chapters facilitate and adapt each session meeting for their participants, choosing to meet at least once a month (though many meet more frequently). Each session includes a Group Discussion Guide with tutorial videos and one or more discussion handouts.
Each Chapter is enrolled with a toolkit filled with educational resources and communication apps that allow for excellence in staying connected with Network Staff and Facilitators of other Champion Chapters across the country. Session Learning Modules are always at your fingertips.
Each session also includes Home Study Guides that supplement the group time, allowing each participant to increase their knowledge independently. We encourage participants to read a little each day and slowly build their ability to one day become a great advocate. Required reading includes Free to Believe by Luke Goodrich.
The group facilitates a Community Action Plan through the first year, assigning easy objectives to participants. The key to being a faithful Two-Kingdom advocate is prayerfully seeking to differentiate just how God may be engaging people in the lefthand kingdom — which assumes Champions are doing a lot of listening and praying before engaging.
Specialized guides for current events and community engagement — practical tools that help Champions understand what is happening in their local community and governing structures, and how to apply Two-Kingdom principles in real time without becoming reactive or partisan.
Practical conversation guides help Champions engage difficult topics — life, marriage, educational freedom, and religious liberty — with winsome confidence. The goal: "speak truth in love" in ways that inspire genuine dialogue rather than entrench opposition.

Champion Academy Outcomes

Seeking to be useful in God's hands, Champions seek:

To differentiate the Two Kingdoms
To engage but remain humbly restrained
To be Vocationally respectful and Constitutionally astute
To be equipped to talk Life, Marriage & Education Issues
To take politics off the issues for productive dialogue
Our Focus

Four Areas of Concern

The Champions Network focuses its educational resources and community engagement around four core areas where religious liberty is most directly threatened.

Right of Conscience & Religious Liberty

Defending every Christian's First Amendment right to live, work, and worship according to their faith without government penalty.

Marriage & the Family

Upholding marriage as God's institution and defending the family as the cornerstone of both Church and civic society.

Sanctity of Life

Affirming that every human being is made in the image of God, opposing the cheapening of life to pragmatic or utilitarian standards.

Educational Freedom

Protecting parental rights and school choice, opposing a public education system increasingly hostile to the Judeo-Christian worldview.
